Instructions to Reviewers

The Journal of the Dental Hub

We thank you for agreeing to review a manuscript for The Journal of the Dental Hub. Your contribution is vital in maintaining the scientific quality, accuracy, and relevance of the articles

we publish.

1. Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Confidentiality: Treat the manuscript as a confidential document. Do not share, discuss, or use its content with others without explicit permission from the Editor.

  • Conflict of Interest: Declare any potential conflicts of interest (financial, academic, personal) before reviewing.

  • Timeliness: Complete your review within the stipulated time (usually 2–3 weeks). If you need more time or cannot review the paper, inform the editorial office promptly.

 

2. Evaluation Criteria

Please assess the manuscript based on the following key aspects:

  1. Originality: Does the manuscript present new information or a novel approach?

  2. Scientific Accuracy: Are the methods sound and conclusions supported by data?

  3. Relevance: Is the topic relevant to the field of dentistry and to our journal's scope?

  4. Clarity: Is the paper well-structured, clearly written, and easy to follow?

  5. Ethical Standards: Are ethical guidelines followed, especially for clinical studies and patient data?

  6. References: Are the references current, appropriate, and cited correctly?

 

3. Types of Reviewer Recommendations

  • Accept without revision

  • Accept with minor revisions

  • Major revisions required

  • Reject

Please provide constructive comments to guide authors in improving their work, even if you recommend rejection.

 

4. Structure of the Review Report

Please structure your comments as follows:

  • General Comments: Brief summary of the manuscript, overall impressions.

  • Major Issues: Concerns affecting the validity or integrity of the study.

  • Minor Issues: Typographical errors, formatting issues, minor clarifications.

  • Confidential Comments to Editor (if applicable): Optional section for concerns not shared with the authors.

 

5. Ethical Considerations

If you suspect plagiarism, duplicate submission, data manipulation, or other ethical issues, please notify the editor immediately with specific evidence.

 

6. How to Submit Your Review

Please submit your review through our online editorial system (or via email, as instructed), along with your recommendation and comments.
